We walked in the morning. No pictures.
Someone asked for lamb pictures and I never did any. Calving season is pretty much over, and there are baby lambs everywhere. Here are a couple of shots from the field just behind our back yard with our resident baby black lamb.

We did a few errands in the morning and then had lunch at home. After that we headed to Inch Beach, about a thirty minute ride. It’s named Inch but it’s 5.5 km long. We walked a good stretch of it. I took a selfie during our walk. And you can see my footprints in another picture (if you look closely). It was cloudy, but the light was interesting. The pictures almost felt like twilight, but it was really early afternoon. The yellow lifeguard station (deserted at this time of year) is at the start of the walk. You can see how far we walked by the picture that looks back towards that lifeguard station in picture 10 of 15. Look really closely.
Back in Dingle we had pints in the Dingle Pub before going back to the house.
Dinner was visit #3 to the Chart House. The kir royales were on the house compliments of owner Jim McCarthy. I somehow resisted getting lamb yet again. Since was a chilly very windy day, we both had Seafood Chowder. I have Kerry Beef Filet. Elaine had baked hake. We shared ice cream with chocolate mint sauce for dessert. he win was our Chart House standard, Tinpot Hut pinot noir from New Zealand.
We went back to the Dingle Pub after dinner but it was chock-a-block full and we decided to give it a miss. We had a quiet drink at almost empty O’Flaherty’s – no music.
Odd pictures. The white flowers are calla lilies.
Lambs are so cute.
I saw the lighthouse in the distance. That was a long walk, perfect for working up an appetite for your Chart House dinner. Great pic of you and Elaine with the waves in the background.
Nice picture of the calla lilies. They always remind me of Lena.
Nice Patriot’s hat.
You are so right Sue, calla lilies and Mom. It was her favorite flower and we love them too. Enjoy seeing you and Elaine on the beach and the “Just Married” heart in the sand. We see Michael tomorrow at airport for a few hours, so excited! Take care….
Forgot, the baby lamb is adorable. Thanks for sharing that. Just so, so cute! Sure Elaine is checking it out each day on walk.
Yes, please… I’ll take a Guinness from Dingle Pub!
That poor little black lamb! Luckily, the 18th & 19th century religious belief that black sheep bore the mark of the Devil hasn’t lasted. But black sheep are considered commercially undesirable because their wool cannot be dyed. He would make a great pet. Start looking into bringing him back on your flight as your Irish support lamb. And BTW, Joe, I credit the little guy with the fact that you did not get the lamb at the Chart House.
Hi Joe and Elaine, thanks for your travel posts. Dingle looks so inviting and your dinners very satisfying. We’ve had a couple weeks straight of cool 50F and wet weather which I don’t mind. Everything greened up, but the forsythia had barely anytime to flower when 85F+ weather came forcing them to go from yellow flowers to green leaves. Daughter Cynthia whose baptism you attended is giving birth to her second boy any day now up in northern Vermont. 18 month old Rowan is a robust 28 pounds of joy, easy going, and loves his 3 wheeled stroller with inflated tires, ideal for those gravel roads. Son in-law Stuart just bought a small tractor for managing their 300+ acres. They are now raising 10 or so hens, and we brought 4 home to raise in our back yard. The old coop is being refurbished and this time they will not be allowed to free range testing the patience of our neighbors. We are all well. Summer will be here before you know it. Cheers!
