On Friday we leave for Depoe Bay, Oregon, our third visit there in six years.  We will be staying in the same condo, the Beacon, as on our prior two trips.  In the past we have driven, three days up, three days back.  We love road trips.  However, this year we are flying (non-stop PHX to PDX on American Airlines).  In Portland we will pick up an Alamo rental SUV and make the two and a half hour drive to Depoe Bay.  On the way we’ll probably stop in McMinnville to visit a winery and pick up some good Oregon Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley.  We’ve seen most of what there is to see around Depoe Bay, so the plan this time is relaxing.  Blog posts will be every other day or so.
